Extra Credit!
If you watch a television program or movie on a historical subject, or visit a museum or a historical site, you will receive extra credit if you write a 1 to 2 page report on your experience. The historical event does not have to be in the time period we are studying and it does not have to be related to American History. It can also be a contemporary historical event, such as the war in Iraq or a Presidential election.
Welcome to American History: Beginnings through Reconstruction
I am pleased and excited to be your American History teacher this year. We are going to be learning about our nation’s history from its beginnings through the period following the Civil War, called Reconstruction. I really love teaching history and am looking forward to making this a fun and rewarding year.
